Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much time do I need to start looking for an apartment and get
a lease signed, prior to my move-in date? I don’t want to miss out on
anything!
A. The inventory in South Beach changes daily, so what may be available
today, may or may not be available next week. We suggest you start
looking for a place one month prior to your planned move-in date.
Q. And when do I need to sign the lease?
A. You should sign the lease at least three weeks prior to moving in,
which will allow you enough time for building approvals, paperwork, etc.
Q. How much money do I have to come up with prior to me moving in?
A. In South Beach, you are required to pay first, last and securty
deposit, prior to moving in. Usually, you write a check for one
month’s rent at the time you sign the contract and pay the balance
(first and last) a few days before you move in.
Q. Is there anything else I need to do prior to me moving in?
A. Yes, but it really depends on the building. Some of the larger
buildings require you to reserve the freight elevator on your move-in
day. You also need to arrange for keys, fobs, parking stickers, etc.
We will assist you with everything.
Q. You guys seem to really be good at what you do. Are you sure I don’t
have to pay you any commissions or fees?
A. No. We get paid by the owner. This is a free service to you. All we
ask is that you tell your friends about us!
